Laumės Sweater

We produce our Laumės knits in small batches and they are first-come-first-served basis. Please note that our Laumės Regular Fit in Beige and Black are currently on pre-order and will be shipped in late January.  All other colors and sizes can be ordered regularly. We named this knit "Laumės" after the very oldest goddesses of Lithuanian mythology. They were believed to be faery seducers of men and protectors of women. These beautiful fairies descended from sky to earth and lived in dewy fields or dense forests, near rivers, swamps and lakes. They'd gather at night under new moon — dancing in circles — to call the rain and create thunder storms, and were considered guardians of nature. They often appeared naked or wearing fine airy clothing. The knit is our take on what a modern-day Laumė would wear. Dreamy, yet sophisticated. Casual, yet chic. Ethically made in Lithuania. 100% merino wool (cruelty-free). Our model Ieva (second photo) is 1.78m / 5'10'', and is wearing the Laumės sweater in Regular fit, Black color. We recommend petite sizing for women under 1.65m / 5'5". If you're shorter than 5'4"/ 164cm, you'd probably prefer the Petite fit. Though both Regular and Petite sizes are pretty oversized width-wise and mostly differ in length.
