Singer Heavy Duty 6800C with Hard case.

May 30, 2023

I purchased the 6800C off the Singer website because my Singer Quantum Stylist 9980 is having problems with the button hole stitch and there are just no techs around here in the Inland Empire that seams to be able to adjust whatever needs adjusting. I have much already invested in the Singer line so I wanted to have some continuity between the two machines. I have been able to use some of the feet from my Stylist and all the electronics and essential features were the similar if not the same as well. And the Singer name and American history means a lot to me, even though this machine was made in Vietnam. And I wanted to stay in that $300-$400 range. I am just finishing up my second project and overall it seems to be working pretty well, that is for a machine in this price range. I am not willing to jump up in price by $2k to $10k just for a little bit better stitch. I also liked the case so much I bought one for my Quantum stylist. My only concern for the future of Singer is the lack of certified techs available. The numbers I called for service centers in my area were disconnected. And well, they got my name wrong for this survey.

Very disappointed

My older off-brand light duty machine sewed better than this machine. Not happy with it. Singer customer service is strongly lacking. Never received all of my order. Trying to return the machine but they won't send the return label.
