Overall it was an easy set up. The box was not your typical "mattress in a box", it was slender and long instead of the rectangular smaller box. Once we got it open it did have a terrible smell, like paint. We ended up letting it sit for several days to let the smell out. I've been made aware from others this can be typical with mattresses in a box. Once we got it set up it has been great. It's comfortable, not too soft but not too hard. I don't feel my spouses every move like the typical mattress so that has been great! Overall I do recommend and would get one all over again.
Initially, I was pleased with the way it was packaged. It was very easy to move to my daughter's room, which is located on the second floor of my house. I had previously bought a smaller one with gaps that could have been dangerous for my daughter, but this one fits true to size. It is only set up to its original size of 14", so installing it is far too easy—you just lengthen it and take off the plastic. Most importantly, lying on that mattress is a pleasure because it is extremely comfortable. Nothing compares to that, thus I give it a thousand stars. Nothing is better than investing in your family's comfort when it comes to rest.
