Hand Position And Grip: For Precise and Detailed Application
- Hold brush at the center of the handle or closer to the ferrule between thumb and middle finger
- For added control, use pointer finger with a light touch on handle – this will act as a "guide" during application. It should feel like you're balancing the brush
Hand Position and Grip: To Blend and Diffuse
- Hold brush with a loose grip closer to the end of handle with your thumb, pointer and middle fingers
- Use your wrists, rather than fingers to guide – this will provide the most "painterly" result
Pro-Tips:
- For powder products use a lighter grip. Allow the brush to feel the undulations of the skin itself
- For crème or liquid products grip normally and guide the brush where you want it to go
- Aim to apply product very sheerly first and then build as needed
