Journee Collection Women's Wide Calf Trill Boot

I loved these boots...until I tried them on. These were the toughest pair of boots to get on I can remember. I couldn't get past the ankle area, let alone get my whole foot in the boot. And I don't carry my size in my feet, so this should have been the easy part. Naturally, I adjusted the zipper to troubleshoot. No luck whatsoever. A boot with ankles this narrow would be better served by a full-length zipper, hands down. Or, if that clashes with the aesthetic, the laces should function to tighten or loosen the boot - they don't! They're completely decorative. The eyelets aren't hooks at all, they're D-rings. The only way to adjust the laces would be to cut the lace itself or to cut through each of the eyelets to then re-hook them in a looser manner. Ultimately, the design-to-functionality ratio of these boots is super high. GABTE - Great attempt but terrible execution. So long, gorgeous boots. I hardly knew you.

They are super cute and very comfortable! They are true to size and fit amazingly. The packaging is simple but sturdy and provides an excellent means of storage. I have the red and black pairs.
