Playful yellow pom-pom trims and intricate artisanal Dori embroidery bring notes of summer to this glossy Chanderi silk top. The open mandarin collar accentuates decolletage in a modest, contemporary way, and its short peplum nips in the waist for a sharp, fitted look. Transition from work to weekend with this top simply by swapping tailored trousers with a swinging skirt, and pair with sandals for a brunch rendezvous. Wear it with your favorite pair of denims and dangle earrings for a fresh look. Style it with our matching Box Pleat Midi Skirt for a more polished party look or wear it to a wedding and earn the title of the best dressed bridesmaid!

Materials

Each of our garments are made individually by experienced craftsmen, ensuring that the quality of construction is at its highest every step of the way. The heritage Dori embroidery is fashioned from four yarns finely hand-twisted together and every pattern is manually embroidered by an artisan for a unique, one-of-a-kind effect. Featuring gossamer Chanderi silk and lined in luxuriously soft natural viscose, utmost care is taken to steam and press every single seam and check every stitch during the 14-to-16-hour process of making each piece.

Dori embroidery is a 3-dimensional embroidery technique originating in India, where threads are laid out in patterns and couched in place. An ancient and highly sought-after craft gets a face-lift in this collection, where we have twisted multiple threads together for subtle raised effect and drawn inspiration from the engraved motifs of the Taj Mahal to create delicate floral patterns.

Chanderi silk is a lightweight fabric known for its luxurious and soft hand feel. It is produced in its namesake town where centuries-old techniques are used in its weaving processes. Its subtle sheen and transparency have earned its title of "woven air", a nod to how light it can be.
