Great work horse (3-4 x daily)

March 15, 2023

I use this tea kettle 3-4 times daily. The kettle heats up very quickly (especially on induction ranges) easily supporting 2 tall tea cups of 12 oz (350 ml) each. This tea kettle is very distinctive and charming, but its VERY functional. To properly use the Tea Kettle, boil the water until a steady stream of steam vents from the spout. Fill your tea cups (1 or 2 ). Immediately after pouring the water, remove the top lid and place it on a Trivet or counter (its still cool enough to grab lid with hand). Then pour any surplus water into sink (with lid off). The cast iron kettle is still very hot ... any remaining water drops will evaporate from the heat. Voila - no clean up or pot holders needed. Please use your Staub Tea Kettle, its design to be used, it's a workhorse.

Great work horse (3-4 x daily)

This Tea kettle not only looks great... but is a work horse. I use this kettle 3-4 times a day. It can easily hold enough of water for 2 deep tea cups 12 ounces (350ml) each. Heats up fast and can boil water quickly (especially on induction ranges). The trick as soon at it boils with a steady steam coming out... pour the water into the tea cups.. remove the lid (still cool enough to grab top knob) and rest it on a trivet. Grab the center of the kettle handles (without lid) dump the remaining water in sink... the kettle is hot enough any residual water evaporates off in seconds. HIGHLY recommend this kettle! Please use it for its intended purpose, not as a display piece.
