Hinoki Yuzu Natural Soap

The Yuzu holds a special place among the citrus fruits, as it has two pretty awesome characteristics: First of all, it doesn’t mind the cold very much, tolerating frost down to temperatures of -10 degrees Celsius. Its fruits look like lemons that have gone out of shape, and they have a very intriguing and complex flavor that carries both the sweetness of the mandarin and the acidity of the lime, and adds a hint of bitterness that is somewhat reminiscent of bergamot. This is why Yuzu is a crucial ingredient in Asian cuisine, leading us to the latest soap. The second important aroma of the soap is brought by distillates from the hinoki tree. In Japan, the hinoki tree is used to build palaces, temples, and shrines. Its scents are said to have a relaxing effect; they come with a tart, somewhat smoky note, but at the same time smell quite refreshing. The mix of both scents is a marriage made in heaven! Many of the customers instantly became fans of this collaboration, so we decided to include the scent as a regular into this much-loved soap family.
